Marika and Michael LaFemina are partners in life
and the co-founders of Golden Light Acupuncture.
Marika LaFemina, L.Ac. specializes in pre-natal and pediatric acupuncture, and focuses her practice on working with expecting mothers, children, and teens, but also works with many adults with athletic injuries, chronic illness, and more. In addition to training as a physiotherapist in Austria, Marika spent four years studying Shiatsu massage and completed a six-month internship with Moshe Heller, L.Ac. in NYC.
Michael LaFemina, L.Ac. unites acupuncture with bodywork to help patients achieve and maintain lasting harmony. He specializes in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, pulse diagnostics, and supporting patients with long-term health optimization. He was faculty at Tri-State College of Acupuncture, teaching Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage) and Mindfulness Meditation, and has taught Yoga & Meditation at Columbia University Medical Center, Hofstra University Honors College, and privately in NYC and New Paltz.
